Peter needed a brand, a website, a Google Maps listing, and an online menu, so people could find a restaurant that didn't exist yet. This wasn’t simply about delivering a logo and website; it was about crafting a unique brand presence from the ground up.
How it started
From sketch to brand logo
It started as a back-of-the-napkin sketch of a grange from Peter's youth and his time in France. That sketch became the brand. The brand became the story of a chef, a place, and locally sourced food. And the story became a fast site that gets a guest from the menu to a reservation in a few taps.

How we approached the project
  • We led with the location
The design draws on France, the Palouse landscape, and the character of a grange hall: the materials, the palette. La Grange feels like Spokane from the first screen.
  • We named the story
Instead of a generic farm-to-table claim, the site names the farms and growers behind the menu.
  • We made the hard things easy
Menu, reservations, hours, and directions are never more than a couple of taps away on a phone.
  • We built it to be found
The site has Restaurant structured data, plain-text address and hours, and clear answers to the questions guests actually search for. Search engines and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can describe La Grange accurately.
What we built

Social doesn't happen on its own.
The social side
La Grange partnered with Katrina Buttler of Disco Pickle Studios. We built the brand and the site. Katrina carried it into the feed.
Where those two meet is where guests actually find you.
Where site visitors came from
None of it was paid.
